This particular session was extra special. A nice, breezy winter afternoon with a beautiful family: mum, dad, two spirited little boys, and two very special teddies. From the outside, it might have looked like your typical family shoot: energetic kids running wild and parents doing their best to keep up. But there was so much more underneath the surface.

These teddies weren’t just soft toy props. They were gentle reminders of the babies this family holds close in their hearts but not in their arms. Their presence brought a quiet tenderness to the chaos, a subtle but powerful way to include and honour their memory. I am always so grateful to be invited into moments like these, where it’s not simply about getting pretty photos but documenting your family story as is, love, joy and grief intertwined.

This park offers such a peaceful natural backdrop, allowing families to just be. No stiff poses, no pressure – just connection. It’s a wonderful spot to capture your family story – the love, the joy and sometimes even the grief, exactly as it is in this season of your life.
